New office build, system will be used for spreadsheet work (on the 4k monitor in portrait), and web browsing.

My main three areas where I think there might be improvements are:

  • Video source. Is there a card that simply gives me the inputs I need and either a very small amount of video memory (like 256mb) or none at all for less?
I can order from the US if the price turns out to be cheaper.
  • I'm assuming 4k gives me a lot more real estate when it comes to spreadsheets, yes?
  • Would a Celeron get bogged down with ~50 tabs open? They're about $25ish cheaper than the Pentiums.

You don't need that gpu, just use the igpu.

Id personally get a dell p2715q. Ive used a few of them, and they look great, and are probably cheaper.

he has 3 monitors and he made not have enough video inputs.

but the motherboard doesn't have to have the connectors to let you use them

ALso all chipsets but q170 and z170 limit you to 2 video outputs on the igpu.

Ok, did some tweaks and by switching boards I also saved $8 on the RAM. Hurrah.

Sadly they're more expensive.

I would replace that cpu with a i5 6400.

Way overkill. I know for sure I can use a Pentium, and potentially even a Celeron.

Probs also get a i3 and 16gb of ram if  you can

Didn't even think of that! Thanks, I completely forgot about VGA. As most people should by now. ^_^

I don't think an i3 is necessary, and right now I can open around 40+ tabs with 4GB of RAM, so I think 8GB should suffice, especially since none will have video playing.

IIRC B150 also has 3 pipelines.
