need wifi for desktop

i just realized the motherboard i am looking to purchase dont come with wifi, the asus z170-a and the msi z170 sli plus, anyone else knows of a motherboard in these price range that comes with wifi, and also anyone know of a good adapter that would work with those motherboards. thank you.

You can buy a PCI-E WiFi card for like £12. That would be fine unless you're running SLI.

Just get a simple USB based solution, unless you need something more powerful. Are you going to be streaming, playing online games or the like?

yes i will be playing online competitive games, i will look forward to plug myself by wire at some point but for now unless i run a giant cable around the house it wont be possible, unless you guys have an idea for that as well.

If so, just get the PCI-E card that the above user linked to. It looks like it would work well for you.

around the outside of the house, or get creative with the baseboards. If you cant fish the line inside the walls, best just to go straight through them and cover them with baseboards.

I went wired earlier this year and it is well worth it, the full ~1 Gigabit is so much nicer than being capped at ~350 Megabits (had a dual-band ac router)

Asus has some cheap option for $20-30 in either USB or PCI-e but if you are wanting to game or download tons of stuff you might want to drop some money on their higher bandwidth ones which are more in the $100+ range.
