Is there a point in buying this tablet when i have a Galaxy S7 Edge? I was thinking on getting the 8.0 size one for just web browsing, netflix and playing emulators but i'm not sure if it's worth it considering i have a S7 Edge

I personally don't see the point in having tablets unless they run full Windows.

well a bigger screen is nice for video's and stuff. i don't like watching video in a phone, it's just tooo samall

then watch it on a PC. And how is a phone's screen too small?

Anyhow, i'm not changing my recommendation whatsoever.

i'm not saying you should change your recomandation. and on a pc you are stuck on 1 location (your desk) with a tablet you can walk around, sit on the couch, etc. i have a 2 in 1 (HP spectre 360) and i love it (it's 13'' tho)

i would say, try to get a 9.7" one. i have one as well. i think it is the right size. comming from a 10.1" tablet. and it's nice to have a tablet, because as previous mentioned. a phone's screen is to small to watch video's and with a pc you're stuck in one place.

The only problem with the Tab S2 is the 4:3 aspect ratio for videos, however this may be better for web browsing and for emulators as I am assuming the older games were 4:3.

even most games of today work fino on that 4:3 aspect. it is annoying in the beginnen with watching videos, but because it is SuperAMOLED the pixels don't light up so it is fully dark in stead of the pixels making the black colour.

What's the pricing like where you are for the Asus Zentab 8.0 S vs the S2?

I'd probably go with the Asus if it's cheaper, I have one and it's an excellent unit. Got it for $80 brand new off eBay.

It's ok for videos, I found the 10.1" tablet I had to be way too cumbersome.

Kind of self explanatory isn't it? Because it's too small.

An 8" tablet vs a 5.7" smartphone is a huge difference.
