I'm not exactly sure on what size SSD I should go for, at first it was going to be a 120g for games and my os, however then I was being told I should get a lot more, so I was going to get a 500g, but for gaming and producing videos, do I need an SSD of that size?

I would take a 256gb but I'm still not too sure on what is worth it for what I'm doing.

You don't need an ssd.

I would get a 256gb ssd for windows, than a 1-2tb HDD based on budget.

Imo just get a small sized SSD dedicated to your OS and get like a Western Digital Black in 1TB and up  range. Videos are going to take up space fast, especially if you render in HD quality.

Could I avoid producing videos on a ssd and just the hdd? It wouldn't affect speed that much, if I was using a 6700k, right?

I would work off of the SSD, but export/render to a HDD. So move the files to the SSD while working, but export and store things on the HDD. That way timeline scrubbing is nice and smooth, etc. and you don't need a crapton of space for storage of projects.

LAN Rig: R5 3600X @ PBO, RTX 2070, 32 GB DDR4 3200, Dan Case A4-SFV V4, 120mm AIO for the CPU

HTPC: i7-7700K @ 4.6 GHz, GTX 1050 Ti, 16 GB DDR4 3200, AliExpress K39, IS-47K Cooler

you are fine. im exporting 4K videos on my hdd. but because I have patience lul

Considering we argued over a 1080p monitor it shouldn't be too painful... right? I mean put it this way.

If I have been rendering 1080p and 720p videos on a 2013 mac book air 13" I shouldn't have any issues going to a $3000 pc right?

As long as it's overall efficient I have no problems.
