Does anyone actually use the fan connectors on the Corsair H100i/H110i or is it common practice to use the MB headers instead?

I suppose that's another question. The Corsair Link software is terrible for controlling the fan speeds. sudden jumps in speed whereas the software that came with the board allows for ramp up/down so that fan speeds aren't jumping all over the place so rapidly. Does anyone bother to use it? rear and top fans are plugged into the board and they are great, but the H110i fans are using the split from the water block and are just plain annoying as hell.
