New PC build, please advise

Debug

Hi all, please advise me on the following PC build which I have planned out to replace my current PC to achieve dual 27" monitors setup and good FPS for ARPG games.

This PC build is to replace the current build I have which is already 6 years old. It is still working however, I just feel that it deserves a replacement to support higher resolution dual monitors setup and better viewing pleasures for general gaming alongside with Netflix. I play PoE, D3, Dota 2, GTA5, Hearthstone, etc. Thus far, with my current build, I'm able to play all the games at decent FPS (lowest at 40+ with GTA5) with all low settings, some even tweaked to turn the graphics even lower.

For monitors, I'm currently using Dell U2312HM (IPS) monitor as my main and an Acer P193W (comes with my previous Acer pre-built PC) as secondary, I'm also looking to upgrade one of the monitors so I can shift my Dell U2312HM as secondary and hopefully a 27" or above IPS monitors at a good price point to serve me as a main monitor. I have around USD$300/- for another monitor however, I couldn't find anything that is a good replacement to my Dell U2312HM. Ultimately, I would like to run dual 27" monitors but in the meantime, I will just settle for one 27" monitor first.

For this build, I'm looking at something smaller than ATX, to reduce the space required and most importantly, to have a silent gaming PC. I'm only able to perform maintenance once a year before spring cleaning hence, easy maintenance is something to look out for when I do. I prefer not to recycle any parts from this current build, the most I'll salvage from is the Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD but I picked up Samsung 850 EVO 250GB M.2 to make it cable-less for my drives however, I have no idea about M.2 but I presume it's the same except faster speed? Alongside, I have heard bad things about recycling old parts into new PC build although the SSD was less than 1 year old. Maybe I could salvage the previous Corsair AF120 and SP120 but to reduce the noise, I'll most likely not install them. I have good experience with Corsair RAM and Seasonic PSU which why I picked them up. I have a total of USD$1300 to spend and I have already allocated USD$1000 on the new PC build.

Also, I would like to completely retire my current PC build as the MB and GPU were already used parts hence I don't wish to swap in new or old parts like getting a good GPU and allocate the rest of my budget to monitors. Thanks for the suggestions either way.

Lastly, the last build I had was 6 years ago and I haven't been following any PC news except only recently so please, give me some advise to cut cost or improve my build so that I could at least squeeze in another monitor or a good 27" monitor at USD$300/- price point. Alongside, I also will not overclock now (even for my current PC) but I always feels that Z and K series has higher durability but it's just me. Also, if possible, please also recommend a good 24" or above monitors. Many many thanks.

Get a cheaper case, something like the core 1000 will do. Get the windforce 1060, that asus is pretty bad. M.2 drives are overrated when you could get a regular sata one for half the price.

Don't get a 212 EVO, it's literally a downgrade from your 612.

I also don't understand the need to upgrade your case, the one you have already does a good job yes?

You could save a lot of upgrade money and get a 1070 which will max out 1080p for much longer. The M.2 850 EVO isn't faster than the 2.5" one, do you really need more SSD space? And finally I think your 3570K can hold its own for a couple more years (or you can get a used 3770K for $150, and overclock that).

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Thanks for the feedback.

Over at Singapore, I think there is no available stock for Core 1000 here, the cheapest mATX case is Corsair 88R at USD$63 and the FD Define Mini C is at USD$97. From research via YouTube, it appears that the Define Mini C seems to be 'quieter' but I can't be sure but to trust the general consensus of FD being a good choice.

Sadly, over at Singapore, the selling price of Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD and M.2 is the same price which is why I decided to go for M.2.

But thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into Windforce 1060. A silly part of me was thinking that having the same brand for MB and GPU will have an easier time to install drivers.

To be honest, I don't plan to re-use the old PC parts hence I want to get the 212 instead due to it good reviews and maybe quieter operating sound.

The Corsair 400R is a very good case, still holding up well for 6 years so far but I wish to reduce the area used to go down into mATX.

Another kind redditor did suggest holding off the current setup and instead opt in for 1070 and spend the rest of the money on dual monitors but I wish to retire this old PC entirely hence the new build. My current MB and GPU was already a used part hence I prefer not to swap in any new parts or used parts. (I should edit in this part into the thread).

The Hyper 212 EVO is nowhere near as good as its competition, consumers don't tell the story because they don't know better. I would grab this

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/TsL7YJ/thermalright-cpu-cooler-machodirect

It's a beefier cooler and bigger fan. It will beat the wind out of a 212 EVO. If you like good looking coolers, one of these

don't waste your money on getting a heatsink that's expensive and is worse than the hyper 612, that 212 LED is overpriced here imo. don't bother upgrading to an m12ii if you already have the s12ii, not worth spending over $100 for the ability to plug out the cables. would recommend you get g.skill valueram to save money. use the money you saved not getting these parts for a gtx 1070 palit dual for $499 after promo code OR16FINAL12(first 1000 customers daily).
