I have been finding the parts I want for a 700$ pc build for about a month now. each part on the list i have looked into for hours to days just so I could find the right one for the build. but my budget is 650-700$ and my build is around 722$. The reason why I have a 65$ cooler is cause soon after I get the build I'm getting a i5 6600k that I will be overclocking to with. I'm very stuck and I dont know how to make the build cheaper, so plz help.

You're not going to be overclocking to the max with a 120mm AIO. Just get a i5 6500 and don't worry about overclocking at all.

The i5 6500 will serve you fine. Ditch the CPU cooler and use that cash to get the i5 6500 with a stock cooler.

Almost got an idea for you. I'm getting really creative in order to get a 6500, an 8GB RX 480, an SSD and a power supply that won't go boom in there.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Yeah, but an 8GB card will hold up much better in the long term. That said:

I got really creative to stay within the spirit of your parts list while still getting the absolute best CPU and GPU I could in there. The case looks sexy and has good reviews on PCPP (check its black-painted cousin's link), and the PSU isn't spectacular, but it won't go boom or take your entire build out. If you can find the extra few bucks for a Seasonic S12II, by all means do, but the EVGA 500B is good enough for a non-OC build that will rarely even eat up 60% of its capacity.

You can, but there's a $20 MIR on that card, making it an 8GB RX 480 for $209. That, my friend, is called a deal too good to pass up. 4GB RX 480s usually go for more than that. RX 470s go for more than that when it's not December.

Edit: The GPU in your original build cost $214 and didn't have a rebate on it. This one is just a better deal by far.

No, not at all. An MIR is a mail-in rebate. You print out a couple pieces of paper, cut out and tape the UPC and serial number from the GPU's box onto one, sign everything, send it out and, in theory, three months later a prepaid debit card shows up in your mailbox with $20 loaded to it that you can spend anywhere you want. Manufacturers and retailers love them because MIRs get people to buy higher-priced stuff, and most people forget to fill out the forms and send them in.

You can, but the jump to 8gb is worth it, if you look at cards like the 980/970 with 4gb vram, they are suffering in some modern games compared to the 390/390x s with 8gb of vram, 8gb is worth it for $20.

you get much better boot times and responsiveness when you use an ssd for a boot drive compared to any hdd.

Of course you can. I'm just not fully understanding why you want to. The 8GB RX 480 costs $15 more up front, but you're still within your $700 budget, and you have a $20 MIR on the back end making it $5 less expensive than the 4GB 480 you were originally looking at.

There's the missing piece of information!

No, it doesn't sound noobish at all. The forums ar full of--hell, YouTube itself is full of techies who pick this 480 or that 480 out of the crowd for their build not because it's objectively better than any other, but because it looks cool and matches their theme best. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that approach, but there's one difference between when a builder here or a YouTuber does it and what you're doing: they're comparing amongst cards where (more or less) all else is equivalent. If Linus, for example, were given the choice between a 4GB RX 480 that matched his build's color scheme or an 8GB one that cost the same amount but didn't look as good, he'd almost certainly go for the 8GB model unless it was a sponsored build.

In your case, you're looking at apples vs. oranges when making that comparison. My approach is to always chase the performance. Besides, there aren't too many cases that AMD's jet black reference cooler doesn't look good in ;)

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

SSDs are much faster than hard drives. Like, much faster. They cut Windows boot times down to a matter of seconds, and they load programs and files more quickly. You'll also see an increase in performance in some data-heavy games, like Skyrim, but that's a much lesser effect than just overall speeding up your boot and load times. It's well worth the investment.
