So I have just recently bought a computer from some guy on craigslist and I brought it home and it didn't seem to run as well as I thought it would. It could be because its an APU but I'm not really technical. I want to replace it with a cu and graphics card but I'm really not sure which one i should get or if my motherboard will even handle it. I'd really love some help on this thanks :)

motherboard-A68f2p-m4 (v1.0)

Processor- AMD A4-7300 APU with Radeon Graphics 3.8 Ghz

Ram- 2 sticks of 8 gb

PSU-HEC HP Orion 400 Watt Peak Power Supply HP400DB

Storage- 1tb hard drive

Specs?

Issues?

APUs are low end, you shouldn't expect mind blowing performance out of them.

 •E5-2670 @2.7GHz • Intel DX79SI • EVGA 970 SSC• GSkill Sniper 8Gb ddr3 • Corsair Spec 02 • Corsair RM750 • HyperX 120Gb SSD • Hitachi 2Tb HDD •

your motherboard is a A68 Chip and can handle FM2+ socket CPUs.

The only logical CPU upgrade is a athlon x4 (845 or 860K), this upgrade should roughly double CPU performance.

for GPU, your MBD has 1 free PCI-E 3.0 x16 slot. this is what 99% of GPUs use. I would recommend a rx 460, GTX1050 or GTX1050ti

all good. re post your upgrade path before you buy so LTT can double check your on the right track. It might even be time to upgrade the whole MBD to a FM3+ or LGA1151 socket, but only if you have budget. otherwise, the above suggestions are probably best. to upgrade CPU and GPU would set you back $250 USD
