Places where I can try out a Razer Blade?

greetings all,

I've been eyeing the 2015 razer blade as a replacement for my 2015 macbook pro retina, and am at a bit of a loss. I've never used the razer blade before, and ideally I'd like to find a place where I can try one out before I buy. I know some microsoft stores carry the Stealth, as I've used one there, but now it's gone.

Does anyone know of a physical store in or near NJ where I could try one out before buying?

thanks

I know the Microsoft store has them - see if there's one near you. Also might be one at a local Best Buy or other computer store like Fry's or something.

yeah, I check all the microsoft stores near me; none have it.

For some ridiculous reason, microcenter flat out doesn't carry the blade, which is annoying.

and Fry's doesn't have it either

damn

I dont remember what model it is, it has an 870M in it, so that should help you find out which one it is.

oh, the 2014 one

even better.

I've got a few questions

first of all, battery life. How well dos it do in basic tasks, like web browsing and streaming spotify in the background?

also, heat. I haven't heard great things about the Blade's thermal management, but what's your opinion?

finally, weight. How light would you say it it?

1. Battery is good if you take care of it, the heavier you game on it, the worse the battery will get over time. And you should also clean it inside rather often by unscrewing the back and dusting it.

2. Heat is unfortunately, not that great with it. In its defense, it is meant to be used on a desk and not in your lap or on a bed, so take that into consideration. It should stay pretty cool if youre just doing normal stuff other than games or editing photos in Lightroom.

3. Weight is awesome, its a tad dense but it feels high quality and it is of course beautifully slim.

nice, thanks

how would you describe the trackpad and keyboard?

from what I've heard, the keyboard rivals the macbook pro, but I've seen many conflicting opinions on the trackpad.

what are your thoughts?

Yes, the keyboard and trackpad are the best of any Windows laptop Ive used and it feels just as good as my MacBook Air's trackpad. I like the keyboard on both equally as well, theyre a bit different but both very nice.
