I need a good quality microphone and headset for gaming + youtube.

I believe I will purchase a razer seiren for $170AUD or like $120USD simply because at that price, regardless of what people say about razer and their products, it will be worth it.

I have been following a razer theme and there wouldn't be many other mics at that quality and appearance for that price range.

FEEL FREE TO SUGGEST OTHERWISE IF YOU WISH

Other than that I need a good headset for all round, music, gaming ect. I will be using it for everything and therefore am happy to spend up to $300AUD or $220USD.

Thanks in advance.

Have you checked the HyperX cloud series? I believe some should be in that price range

Tbh I'm not too interested in them, they aren't very appealing compared to other razer headsets (i know :3 I love razer, mostly because of the visual appeal). The mics stick out [which i dont want as I'm getting my own] and seem in the way. They are also $150AUD on the site I would like to purchase it all from which shows to me they wouldn't be of great quality.

Thanks for your help.

I'm sorry, but Razer's stuff is total garbage. Say what you want but they have by far the worst audio quality out of 10+ headsets I've personally tested. Bass-heavy, 'gamer'-y looking shit. For a mic, the AT2020 is amazing. Also, the ATH-M50x's are really really nice for audio use, and I've heard that they're very good for gaming.

idk

The headphones alone is out of his budget so...maybe read his f*cking post?

Also, @Droidbot Did you know that the razer blacksharks has a better mic than the clouds? And yes, I own both ;)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

I'd say get the Senheiser 598 Cs paired with a mod-mic 4.0 because the closed back version is cheaper and has an impedance of 23 ohms so you won't need a dac or amp.

I believe I will end up with Audio-Technica AT2020USBi Cardioid Condenser USB Microphone and a Razer Kraken Chroma simply because I have owned one in the past, it's reasonably cheap and I loved the audio quality and compatibility.

Thanks for your help everyone,

Total: $400AUD

Blackshark is probably the best headset Razer make, but the Krakens are garbage.
