Even with current drivers, it still can't max out all games. (minimums are also very important)

yeah im expecting them to be like 450~ ish since 1070s are around 500

1070's around 500? im not sure where u are, I've seen alot hovering $399-420 for non-referance 1070's. I'm speculating the 490 might be somewhere around $300-400. $400 on the high side.

The rx480 will not max out modern AAA titles at 60fps.. But it can play those on ultra. Some games have crazy SSAA that is mostly not even enabled on ultra. "The average gamer" will not be able to tell the difference anyway.

If you want something that'll guarantee ultra, get the 1080 Ti when it comes out. Basically the only way that's happening.

There's no such thing as futureproof. Especially considering none of us know what future games will require.

But it still doesn't bring it up to 60fps...

Totally agree, except the 1080Ti would be far, far out of budget.
