School Laptop, Tor.

Hi, I recently bought a school laptop that has its apps (Presumably spyware) pre-installed. The it is

tough and i dont wanna crack it so i just want to know if if i use tor they cannot track what i am doing

in tor. I am using my own internet connection and i will sometimes use the schools internet.

Thanks!

(Task manager is blocked, this pc is blocked, firewall is blocked).

(Im not doing anything illegal, just browsing the internet).

What you're trying to do isn't possible. They can always monitor what you are doing on the computer. Tor only hides your identity from the websites you visit.

maybe install a diffrent hard drive or use a flash drive with like linux

Yes, if you boot into a different os from a flash drive, that would work fine.

Highly doubt they'd let you change the boot drive if it's that restrictive...

Afraid they'll see you watching porn? May as well look at the extra nasty stuff for funzies.

Indeed. I speak from experience, public school IT systems/restrictions are pretty flimsy.

Edit: In the US that is

Luckyyyyyyyyyyy. My school blocks literally everything they can that isn't education related. Then again VPNs, so it doesn't really matter.

I'm bit confused. Did you buy the laptop or is it given to you by school? Because there's difference. If you pay full price (or used price) for one, you own it and can do anything you like to it. If you have rented or given it from school, you are NOT allowed to bypass any installed security or tracking methods. And asking help on such isn't allowed here per CS.
