Low Fps in all games in Full Screen Windowed mode.

So hey guys im running a 2 1080p monitor so i play most of my games on full screen windowed mode or borderless windowed but the problem now is that when my games are set into borderless fullscreen or fullscreen windowed the fps drops to around 22-23 fps. So why's that in the past i didn't encounter this.

I guess  Driver issue. I have to play in true fullscreen in some games too.

Oh i see. What's your driver now? i'm still currently using the last driver which is 375.95.

Maybe we're running the same drivers. i checked the latest drivers but sadly i didn't see anything about fixing the low fps in fullscreen borderless.

I'd say you should try:
A different driver version.
Disabling V-Sync if it is enabled.

If it is enabled check whether your monitors refresh rate in Windows settings is set to something other than the native refresh rate. 

I had an issue where something changed the refresh rate of my main monitor to 30hz from 60hz. It only seemed to make a difference on the desktop and in games that were not running in fullscreen.

I'm currently using a G-sync monitor for gaming doubled checked my monitor refresh rate its still set at 160Hz i'll try downloading the new driver later and see if it fixes it. thanks for the advice.

I also use a G-Sync monitor and always disable V-Sync in games. Sometimes it likes to turn itself back on after a driver update.

i'll try checking the NVCP and the game itself.

I also have a G-Sync monitor and have had these issues. It is down to driver. Sometimes it can be enough to completely remove the driver (and I mean completely scrub the driver and sofware from your PC) and re-install to fix, and sometimes Nvidia release hotfixes for these issues for the specific driver. You have to head over to the Nvidia forums to find these.

Gsync here too. Mabey thats why. I have no Problem play in FullScreen tho.

Thanks will check out the newest drivers and see if the latest driver has a fix for this.

 

edit/update: I think iv'e found the fix or the problem. Well after googling around iv'e crossed upon the fast boot/ fast start up option that  is said to be having problems with g-sync that it makes the fps drops like hell with using fullscreen borderless/windowed. here's the reference link https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/957952/geforce-drivers/gsync-full-and-windowed-borderless-low-fps/. I still only checked it out on 1 game will also try on my other games.
