Windows 10 is susceptible to memory leaks, thus that was the likely issue the only reliable way to fix this issue would have been to reinstall the OS and hope it didn't repeat the issue.

Well then it might have a issue with a driver you needed, it is unfortunate that compatibility is still hit or miss on windows 10, for reference can you give specs for the computer in question.

Since its release, Windows 10 got a lot of stuff fixed and improved. As you upgraded to Windows 10 before, assuming the system specs didn't really changed (CPU, motherboard is the same), you can re-upgrade to Windows 10 for free. So you can give it another try.

In my opinion, it looks like a driver problem. Either it is missing a driver, or a driver bug. It is hard to know without more details.

You shouldn't do a upgrade. Do a clean install.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!
