Hi,

I'm planning to upgrade my PC, mainly for Overwatch and have around £150 at my disposal.

Here are my current specs:

AMD FX6300 3.5GHz

8GB RAM

AMD Radeon HD7770 2GB

My current bottleneck is clearly the GPU since it's always at 100% usage on low settings.

Would you suggest I go for a GTX1050ti, RX460, or is the RX470 worth the extra money? (Or do you know of any reliable sites for finding this information)

Do any of you have the same CPU and one of these cards who can give me a rough idea of how good it'll be?

Thanks

I edit my posts a lot.

Overwatch is a CPU intensive game. Upgrade your CPU first and run the game on low. Move to an Intel platform and don't buy another FX CPU.

upgrade to a 460 or 470.

470 if you can afford it, 460 if not

RX 470, the other ones arent that good tbh, the 460 has its place at the super low end entry level, the 1050TI in lower power systems and then the 470 runs away with the preformance lol

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

I would only recommend the RX 460 if you need an ultra low budget for Overwatch, I'd argue the RX 470 is a worthy upgrade as getting as close to 300FPS as possible is probably the best idea if you want to play the game competitively.

Then in your issue becomes the CPU, as Overwatch prefers high powered quad cores over weaker six core.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

An FX 8 core can get well over 100fps, no reason to change it for overwatch, it uses up to 6 threads it looks like going by the same score on the FX 6 and 8 core at 4ghz
