gtx 1060 not performing fully!

Hi there!

I did the plain firestrike benchmark and i only scored 7500 compared to most 1060/i5 6500 rigs getting 10k, also when i play gta i experience major lag spikes! I was maybe thinking my 2.5" hdd was slowing it down?

you bought a 3gb version? it is slower than a 6gb if you did.

People scores in Firestrike are with overclocked GPU to 2100+- Mhz. You have to scroll down to position 300+ to find 1900+- Mhz results.

 

I bought my 1060 last week as well. 

Connection: 200mbps / 12mbps 5Ghz wifi

No, deleted the game long time ago. I have 144Hz monitor now and cant play at 60fps.

Disable Vsync in Nvidia Control panel too because I just checked my FireStrike (free demo) score and I got 10749. Your 7500 sounds like you have that 3GB version or your card is severly bottlenecked by something in your PC or your software.

You should monitor your cards performance with MSI Afterburne or GPU-Z to see if there are any thermal issues or if your card is even under decent load.

Hey guys, i turned v-sync off in nvidia control panel and i got a score of 10862 in firestrike demo, thanks for the help!
