Yeah you can move your drive from your old computer to your new one with no consequences.

So, just received almost all my parts for my new PC (yay!), but I was wondering if I could just move my HDD over to my new PC to have all my stuff store on the drive on the new computer. If it's a data drive then sure.

If it's an OS drive then you will need to clean install windows.

Another reason why people use an SSD for windows and a second SSD/HDD for all the data.
