Coil whine on Intel Stock PSU is driving me crazy

Check out the TX 3 evo, i use it in a fractal r5 and love it. Temps stay around at 50-60c while gaming. 25-30 idle.

Fits a bunch of sockets, looks pretty, and is a very nice cooler. Comes with thermal paste.

Evo is taller but less expensive. As long as your PC works with it, use the EVO.

Looks a little sketchy, try looking for one by a well-known brand, like cooler master or corsair. Read reviews and make sure there are at least 100. Also try site like newegg.com for shopping. PCPartPicker is also a very good too for shopping.

I would not recommend any of the top down coolers that you listed. I would recommend the Antec or the Deepcool. You don't need too much for a non-overclockable processor.

If you're getting coil whine, I don't see how replacing your cooler is going to help.

No, they're the same height. The 212x just has a slightly better fan.
