A Corsair RM550X would be quiet and would work well for ya

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Find something in your budget then make sure it's from a reliable brand and has certification and buy it

This doesn't really work. There's very few be-all-end-all brands like Seasonic out there. For example, Corsair has the VS series which is garbage, EVGA has the G1 and B1 which are both mediocre at best, and Cooler Master has so many shit units on it's lower-end units I don't even know where to start.

Also. 80 PLUS certs don't represent quality.

I know the certification is for efficiency but if it's from a reliable brand its still gonna be better that what he has now

Yeah, it's a good PSU and is quiet. If you wanted a fan curve that would allow the fan to never come on with your system then look into an RM650x or EVGA 650G2.
