LTT more audio

I personally didn't really like the microphone review. Sorry guys at LTT if you are reading. It was pointless for me. But if they would do something like a real podcast microphone like Heil PR40 or Roswellaudio KM47. That would be nice. I would just love to see them doing something like that. And I have some good ideas haha :)

I'm pretty sure you'd be cringing a LOT. They have headphone reviews. Which are quite easy as anyone gaming/listening music/watching shows knows what sounds good, what comfortable means etc. But none of them has actual experience from anything deeper audio. No audio creation, producing etc. Have you ever wondered why WAN Show audio gets so much crap from audience? Linus has even said they'd need to hire some professional audio tech to fix it.

 

They can do general tech videos because Linus and Luke know tech (Justin too?). They can do camera gear videos because they have Brandon- They can do robotics and programming videos because they have Taran. But they can't really do networking, audio etc. videos since they don't have anyone specialized or really into that stuff.

 

Crit TV would have been best tech channel for audio gear. But I can't recommend that anymore.

That alone is not true at all. Part of the reason that LTT doesn't do audio gear very much is because they don't get as many views on that stuff, but the other reason for it is that the Audio sub on this forum basically ripped a couple of Linus' videos apart because he didn't know what he was talking about. Audio is a fairly complex subject, even for headphones, so it's not something that general tech reviewers should try to dabble in, since they (almost invariably) get it wrong.

Quoted part is true. General headphone reviews, as in most of audience knows what reviewer is talking about, are easy. I know, I'm general user. Did you read the most of my post? I can say it here again. You don't want them doing any deeper audio reviews since they just lack knowledge about it. That would be main reason. 2nd biggest reason is that they don't have need for higher end audio equipment, and so, no contacts for Mayflower or such which would provide the stuff. Sure they have Sennheiser. But thats about it.

Funny part of all this is, that I wrote two posts before watching the Sennheiser headphone review from month back (or so). Where Linus specially says he doesn't know enough from audio gear to make good reviews about them.
