Hey guys, I currently have the Logitech z506 5.1 surround sound, but I really only use the Left/Right Fronts, Center, and Sub woofer. So I have been thinking about just buying a Sound Bar to go on my desk underneath my 2 mounted monitors.

If you've done it, I'd like to hear your thoughts on how you like it, also some pics!

For those that haven't done it, what do you guys think are some pros/cons for buying a soundbar for my PC?

I think a theatre soundbar might be a little bit too big. Dell made some that went specifically under monitors, but I don't believe they had subs to go with them.

Good call, I'll do some measurements real quick.

2x 24" Asus VG248QE monitors... They are roughly 22" wide so I have 44" underneath them. Minus a little bit because of the angle I have them at.

The Sound Bar I'm looking at is 37" so it would fit....

OH, it just hit me. my keyboard and Mouse cords.... hmm

If you could make a platform (or buy, but you'd have to find the right size), have the speaker bar underneath it and the monitors on top, that'd be pretty cool.

Something like this:

Then replace the middle support with a round metal piece, so you can slot the soundbar in front of it.

You could also make your own out of MDF, but if you want to get a nice look to it you have to put in a lot more work. It has to be sealed before it's painted. You could also get a custom piece of tempered glass with custom holes cut in it, or a custom piece of aluminium and then powder coat it. Lots of ways to go.

Something you might want to look into is sound separation. Not sure if sitting that close to the soundbar will screw with that.
