I updated my bios and believe that I have a corrupt install, would like to verify and have any recommendations for fixing this issue. The reason for my bios update was because my computer would not boot properly after installing the new graphics card.. I believe I have dug myself a deeper hole that what I was already in.

System specs:

Intel 2500k

MSI z68A-g45 g3

8gb of kingston ram

xfx hd6850 going to evga gtx1060

The issue im currently experiencing is that the computer will turn on for 10 seconds approximately, and then it will restart and loop.

I have tried pulling the cmos battery, and unplugging the power supply. To try and reset

Have tried pulling one ram stick at a time, still doesn't work

EDIT: I have already pulled out the dedicated GPU and am running off of the onboard

My question is have you use the CMOS jumper?

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

I have shorted the two connectors for the CMOS jumper while the computer is turned off. since there was no bridge on the two pins to begin with, I would have to short it to reset the cmos correct?

All you do is put the jumper on the board WITH the power supply turned off.  Otherwise it will just stay charged via the power supply.  Additionally, to me it doesn't sound like a firmware issue, if the firmware wasn't working it would simply just stay on forever and not get anywhere...  I think its power delivery related.

To me, it sounds like its power delivery.  I think that once the system finishes POST and then it goes under load, it will droop causing a power adjustment, maybe even outside of the tolerance...  Thus, you've got a computer turning off without warning.

Let me ask you this, do you have to flip the power switch on the power supply before it will turn on again?

I can turn off the computer when its in the loop by holding the power button (on the case), and no I also use the power button on the case to turn it on.

nope.. not at all :(

And you're saying now that you'll turn your computer on and it will just hang, not turn off on its own?
