i7 2700k and gtx 1070

Hello, my friend has a i7 2700k and want to updrage his gpu to a GTX 1070 from a Redeaon HD 7970 x2 in crossfire.he want to upgrade because he want more GDDR5 memory!

1. Will there be bottleneck if he keeps his cpu (i7 2700k sandy brige)?

2. Will it be worthy to updrade?

3. Is there any way to get better performance from his current setup?
