you have to make sure that your mobo supports your type of m.2 ssd.

First thing to do is look for an option to enable NVMe/M.2 drives on your BIOS. Also could help to look at how the motherboard's managing PCI-E lanes.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Quote: "Computer bus interfaces provided through the M.2 connector are PCI Express 3.0 (up to four lanes), Serial ATA 3.0, and USB 3.0 (a single logical port for each of the latter two). It is up to the manufacturer of the M.2 host or device to select which interfaces are to be supported, depending on the desired level of host support and device type. The M.2 connector has different keying notches that denote various purposes and capabilities of M.2 hosts and modules, preventing plugging of M.2 modules into feature-incompatible host connectors."

Did you get an incompatible m.2 drive (What the folks are saying :l)?

Quote: "1 x M.2 x4 Socket 3, *2, with M Key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 storage devices support (both SATA & PCIE mode)*3". Thats a Z170-A for comparison, but it would seem most motherboards do support both SATA and PCIe modes. So, if compatibility isnt the issue, have you tried the old reconnecting the m.2 drive followup?

I'm more curious as to why you spent $3 more for a 64G than the 128G one?
