ECC required for Windows Server Essentials 2016?

I am building an all-in-one home server and have a copy of Windows Server Essentials 2016, but my hardware doesn't support ECC.  I read that Microsoft says that ECC is a minimum requirement for Server 2016, but that's for all Server 2016 models.  I also read that so far, none of the pre-release copies of 2016 Essentials required ECC to install or run.  However, I can't seem to find any posts saying if anyone was successful installing the full release version of 2016 Server Essentials on a system that doesn't have ECC memory.  Anyone know?

ECC is only a requirement if data integrity in RAM is essential. Like in database transactions and all that. If you're just serving up web content and nothing of real importance is at stake here, you don't need ECC.

It's not a requirement. It will run on non-ECC RAM but it is strongly advised to use it, especially if downtime or data loss is absolutely not acceptable.

I've ran 2016 on a standard desktop that was used as a test server, no ECC RAM installed.

I've never heard that ECC was required, and I ran 2016 on a Core 2 Duo laptop without ECC memory and it worked fine.
