How to change fan curve on reference RX 480?

nkucz

Hey guys,

Wondering how to make a custom fan curve on the reference RX 480? Also I want to crank the fans so I get really low temperatures considering I don't care about noise, so what should I set the fans at? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Get MSI Afterburner. You can do whatever you want for fan curve. I have minimum 25%fan speed at all times, and 100 fan speed by 60 degrees.

Wow....that should be loud. I actually kinda like the temp target that is implemented by amd. But I guess that is preference

It really isn't too loud. I have MSI R9 380 with Twin Frozr, so its fairly quiet. Plus, it never gets up to 60 degrees. The curve pretty much keeps things down early. It'll get a little loud as it approachesfull speed, but the fans on my H100i get a little louder than my GPU fans. By the time things get that loud I'm pretty into my game, so I never notice the sound.
