Soon, or never, depending on your carrier. Even if LG releases Android 7, your carrier may take forever, or simply not release it at all.

For example, the Galaxy Note 3 & 4 are both fully capable of running Android 7 - they both pack Snapdragon 800 or newer CPUs and have plenty of RAM.

But good luck ever officially seeing newer Android versions than 5 or 6 on these devices. Between Samsung and carriers, they'll want you to buy a new phone.

When Samsung released Android 5 for the Note 3, it took 9 months for Bell mobility to release a carrier update for the phone. :(

Laptop: Lenovo Yoga 7i (16") 82UF0015US (i7-12700H, 16GB/2TB RAM/SSD, A370M GPU) Tablet: Lenovo Tab Plus (256GB)
Camera: Canon M6 Mark II | Canon Rebel T1i (500D) | Canon SX280 Music: Spotify Premium (CIRCA '08)

Excellent! You'll want to check with them about getting an update to Android 7.0 then, since they'll have to push it down the pipeline, unless you're comfortable with rooting and unlocking your phone.
