On a Pentium DC? As in, a socket 775 Pentium DC? You'll be lucky if you can hit 30FPS in Minesweeper lol

If it's a newer Pentium CPU, it depends on the generation. Do you know the SKU? Generally speaking, I wouldn't expect much lol

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

turn it to low or medium settings and usually you can play pretty well. I have a really crappy dual core i5 in my 5-year old laptop and on medium settings it plays Overwatch at 60fps fps. :)

Ive tried a couple of games like just cause 2, life is strange and portal 2 and it runs at  around 15-20 fps on all low at 720p. Is it running worse then it should? Exact model number is intel celeron 2955u 1.4ghz with 1.9ghz boost

I'd say it's performing better than I'd have expected lol

I was able to play Guild Wars 2 on lowest possible settings with my i7 4790k iGPU.

It was working, but horrible experience xD

I suppose that 2d games will run alright, like Zombie Night Terror and Terraria... but is it a laptop? you're likely to face 102Cº temperatures on the CPU trying to run games on low end laptops/notebooks devices, it isn't exactly recommended, you could however if you have a fan face it directly besides the laptop in a way it blows cold air down of it so the cpu fan sucks such air, on my Acer i5 5200U, 4GB Ram no dedicated gpu  I did this and I saw significant temperature reduce.

I know though that something like the Intel HD Graphics 5500 with 128mb dedicated ram can play CS:GO on 1680x1050p all setting on low, with 30~40fps but this iGPU is more common on i5's, an intel celeron probably has worse performance...

yea, you're not gonna get too far with that. Maybe portal 1 on super duper low settings may give you slightly above 30 FPS, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

When in doubt, re-format.
