ram clearance issue

Go to solution Solved by SirYanthon,

i starting to think i might have to go with an aio like the h100i, which id love to do, but im paranoid that itll leak or something, even tho i realize its extremely rare, and i belive corsair's warrenty will replace all ruined parts if it happens

The Cryorig H7 will definitely not interfere in front, not sure about the backside.

I think the Thermaltake NIC C5 would clear front and back, but it's not spectacular in the price to performance category. Downdraft coolers like the Cryorig C1 or Noctua C14 may also be options.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

You can actually edit the build and go to CPU coolers and the search should only bring up compatible parts.

the cryorig c1 is the only you suggested that is compatable with the lga2011-3 socket type tho

it brings up ones that are technically compatable, but i manually checked the website for some of them, and none of them so far have enough ram clearance

Did you manually set the height scale?

yep. that affects the height of the block itself, not the height of the block from the board. its for making sure itll fit in your case, not about avoiding ram interfearence

Some of the more popular coolers will fit one way but not the other, as in at 90=fit and 180=nope.

also tho, ive read reviews of a suprising ammount of people saying that they slowly evaporate and begin to not function due to water loss. idk if i can trust it DX

Well, you have selected RAM with much bling but nothing more than that. There isn't any bigger air cooler which would be fine with Dom Plats. And getting H7 when you could get cheaper RAM and still get beefy single tower cooler is pretty pointless.
