I just saw a deal in amazon for the G430 for £33 instead of the usual £43.

I know there are better headsets out there, but I like the look of them, they are 7.1 surround, and I only would use them for gaming anyway, and I trust the brand, I have been buying their peripherals for years and have never been disappointed with them yet, and I like their software.

Like the look (sort of) and appreciate the included usb adapter, since I may need to use them with a headphone jack at some point.

I have been looking at them for a long time now, but I'm not sure if I should pull the trigger.

is there any reason I shouldn't?

I'm also not sure if its just a Cybermonday deal, so I bought them. I've bought much more useless stuff in the past, I'm sure I'll be fine with them.

did you buy them? I hope not.

audio quality is shit. They use virtual surround (stereo and software), which is something you can do with any headset or headphones. Oh and that deal isn't that good at all.

Do you even need a new headset? I have seen people just buy cheap shit, because it was cheap, not because they needed it. If you don't need a new headset, then save up the cash.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Yes I have bought it.

I don't have a headset and have been after one for the past year or so, this was the primary candidate.

Now given they usually sell for ~£45 a £12 discount is, ~25% which sounds like an ok deal to me.

The set being generally overpriced or not as good is another story entirely. At that pricepoint, I honestly can't find anything better.

As far as sound quality goes, I can't comment, but I don't care as much when they'll only be used for Overwatch and BF4.
