I'd say it wouldn't bottleneck.

I'd say the gpu would be the bottleneck before the cpu would.

and if you were to get, idk,a 3930K.it'd probably perform worse clock for clock in games than the 3770K since IB is faster than SB and most games can't make use of more than 4 cores.

It won't bottleneck period, unless you run lik 3/4 cards you don't need the hexacores and even then its mainly because of the extra pci-e lanes

The 3770k should be fine if you are running the GTX 680. The 3770k wouldn't really bottleneck because this processor is a pretty high end cpu. Why do you need a 3770k? Games won't benefit from the hyperthreading. It is only used in rendering. I would go for a i5 3570k and get a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 2GB Windforce 3X card. This card can be overclocked to match the GTX 680 core clock.

No need to worry about the 3770K bottlenecking. I have a 3570 with a 680 and it's doesn't bottleneck.

it's not only used in rendering,it can be used in anything that it multi-threaded:browsers,video editing, photo compositing, audio editing, video encoding,3D design, newer games like Crysis 3.

and I think he meant that he wants to get the 3770K,for other reasons, and he also wants to get the GTX 680 for gaming.and he wants to know that the 3770K won't bottleneck the GTX 680.

Just making a suggestion to him so he can cut down his costs if he wanted to. If he wants a 3770k and GTX 680, then the answer to that is no it wont bottleneck the GTX 680.

A 3770k will have no problems, even a 3570k can run a GTX 680 perfectly fine. You have nothing to worry about.

there wont be any bottlencking with a 3770k and a GTX680. If you run 2 ARES II cards in SLI, or quad sli GTX Titans, then you might need to reconsider your cpu. the 3770k is pretty much the best CPU for gaming, anything more expensive than that,(3930k or 3970x) is predominantly used for editing.

Just letting you know you can't run quad titans unless you use unofficial drivers which are unstable.

Not really. The 3770K will give you no benefit over a 3570K.
