My setup currently involves a TV and a PC monitor for gaming. I always game on my monitor, but sometimes I like to watch movies on my TV. I was looking at his product :https://www.amazon.ca/Fosmon-Premium-Intelligent-Switch-Switcher/dp/B01D3JE0MS/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1480208815&sr=1-1&keywords=hdmi%2Bsplitters&th=1

because I am tired of mannualy switching the HDMI cables (its below my desk). Will this device affect my graphic card? Will it reduce the quality of the graphics in games? If so what should I buy instad?

check if your gaming monitor has display port and if it has it and your GPU has it you can just have both screens at once with the TV using the HDMI and gaming monitor the DP

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Get an adapter bro

Hdmi to whatever port on your GPU you want to plug it in

Does your graphics card only one output?

Also, this is 3 inputs, 1 output. It is not a breakout cable. This would be used if you wanted to plug a chrome-cast, PC, and console *cough* into one TV.

What system specs? You can normally get a display port to hdmi show you can show different images

That adapter will show the same image, but won't affect anything.

This is my card :  MSI Radeon R9 390 8GB Video Card

I don't want to display multiple things at once. I want to make the change (from PC to TV, or to TV to PC easier. I currently have to mannually unplug the TV hdmi and plug the monitor hdmi if I was using the TV, and that is a hassle.
