Hi,

I have the G.Skill ripjaws series 4 ddr4 Ram and was wondering if i bought the Series 5 if they would work together without any problems. I ask because series 5 is currently on sale waaay cheaper than the series 4. I assume the would work because the CAS Latency, timing and voltage are the same but just at the series 4 speed. I just wanted to make sure with before i buy and install. thanks =D

Probably, they should run automaticly on a speed of 2133mhz ( the lower one of these kits) but sometimes they don't do that automatic than you may have to configure the settings in your BIOS manualy, than it's more likly that they will work together.

But overall you can only test it, they should work but if not just send them back and order a diffrent pair of RAM sticks.

Basicly any DDR4 stick should work in your motherboard and at least if you set them to the same timings, voltage and speed (most of thetime the motherboard do exactly that by itself)

Yes it will work, but they will be all running at 2133MHz, unless you can OC old ones to 2400MHz.

It's possible ... same was with HyperX RAM that I bought. It went from 1866MHz to 2133MHz without any problem.

And people were buying 1600MHz, and changing it to 2133MHz.

Anyway difference between 2133 and 2400MHz ... won't be that big.

It will work!
