BIOS Update Goes Ary

Hi. I recently updated my BIOS for my BIOSTAR HiFi-A73UP Motherboard. When I tried to reboot, at post, the system was giving me CMOS errors, but Windows booted normally. However, all of my USB devices (Wi-Fi Adapter, Keyboard/Mouse, etc.) didn't work. I tried by rebooting the system again, but still, CMOS errors and non-working USB devices. This computer is practically my life, so I don't want it to fall to the hands of shoddy BIOS updates. Please Help!!

try reseting the cmos, you do this by removing the silver battery on the motherboard. Once removed leave it out for 15-30 mins to be safe, then put it back and turn the system on. See if that fixes it.

Make sure the system has absolutely no power when doing this. The system cannot charge the CMOS battery, but it will power the CMOS chip if there's any electricity stored. 

 

When disconnecting the AC cable from the power supply, hold down the power button for a few seconds to remove as much power as possible.
