Well yes in the sense that it will work just as well as any 2016 phone, but have fun when it bootloops which most G4s do. Bricks the phone permanently and you won't see it coming. Happens maybe 10-12 months in to most users of the phone. google it.

I've had the G4 for a little over a year now. My two biggest things that I don't like about it are how the build quality isn't quite on par with a lot of newer, even less expensive, phones with its plastic build. I also really wish it had a fingerprint reader, since that will be very useful once Android Pay starts to become more ubiquitous.

But yeah, that's really it. I love everything else about it. The screen looks great and is a great size, the camera is really good (Although if you were looking to record a lot of 4k video, you can only do so 5 minutes at a time), there's micro sd expansion, and the software is pretty good.

Regarding the battery, sure you could replace it if you wanted to get a quick 100%, but I haven't done that at all during my time with it. I don't want to have to carry around an extra battery, and the battery inside of it is good enough to last me a day to a day and a half. Really the only thing I like about the removable battery is that If I keep this phone for a really long time, I can put a new battery in as the original starts to die and extend the life of the phone.

I also might recommend looking at the LG V10, as that came out right after I got my G4 and I remember being a little mad that I didn't wait just a little bit longer so that I could have gotten the V10.

Have my LG G4 since summer 2015.

Agree with Peepnbrick about quality --> i fixed that with a dbrand skin, ask for it for christmas ;)

Rest is pretty good, i use my phone a lot and i gtg all day long with this battery (4g).

But considering the issue with their mother board, i would never go again for LG G4 (i love those fucking phones and specialy th back buttons) but when you see more than one generation having the same issue, i'm questionning their integrity. Mine died about 11 month into the phone, thankfully it was into waranty so they fixed it (took a month to repair). And i'll see if in another 12 month i have the same problem !

I would look into OnePlus / Google
