Hello!

I'm sorry if things seem out of order, i just need opinions on my idea of the best VR PC for USD 1300.

1. Budget & Location

(Yes I did copy paste the instructions, don't judge me.)

My budget as stated is USD 1300, and by the currency you can tell I am in the US.

2. Aim

My aim is to get the best VR experience for the price.

3. Monitors

I plan on running one 2K 144hz monitor and/or an HTC Vive.

4. Peripherals

I will need a keyboard and windows, the other two i have.

5. Why are you upgrading?

I currently have an HP 15z-b000 (AMD A8-4555m, 1.6ghz w/ AMD 7600G graphics w/ 200mhz clock) and once I noticied I couldn't even run CS:GO, I knew it was time to upgrade. I also have always wanted a good computer with VR capabilities, so 'why not?'

6. Setup

What i have on my list now is what I think is the best possible GPU preformance without being at all bad on CPU.

Do you have additional storage? 275GB gets eaten up really fast.

Other than that it should perform quite nicely for the Vive, though the content is seriously lacking.

Drop the GPU to a 1070 and get a i7-6700K. Drop the AIO cooler and get a HDD and a PURE ROCK or Gammaxx 400.

Why change the cpu to higher and the gpu to lower? Does the 6600k bottleneck the 1080?

No, but since you're getting a new PC, you should get the best CPU so that you don't need to upgrade it.

Ok, thanks for the advice, I was wondering if a 6600k would be right. Also with the Drive situation, i mentioned in another reply that i have a 1tb wd black and another 275gb ssd SATA, does that mean i should still consider the other modification?

The AIO doesn't do much to the PC unless you're looking for extreme overclocks.
