So I'm planning a build and want to throw a 1070 in. I was looking for EVGA's superclocked which looks like a great price for the specs. However the SuperClocked Black Edition has exactly the same specs and is around $30 lower. It sounds too good to be true for the same card, just different looks to be cheaper. Any scientists knows or can spot a difference :v?

I thought that most graphics cards didn't have any. Does it affect performance somehow?

it can have a small performance impact sometimes. usually its just decorative and so you don't slice your fingers up on the pcb. but some of them can serve as heatsinks for the gpu, but the performance out of it is pretty insignificant.
