upgrading old pre built pc

i have an old pc with an athlon x2 4800+ cpu its on an am2 motherboard with 4gb of ram and has a ati radeon hd 4850 gpu and i would like to upgrade that to something more powerful but i would prefer it to be new and

and does not require external pci connector. i just want to play games on 1080p.

If you live in or around a big city, look on kijiji. I just managed to buy my buddy an amazing pc for next to nothing. (well $1400 for well over $3200 worth of stuff)

You wont find anything NEW for that kinda money up here.

Me too. Seriously, look on Kijiji.ca for old graphics cards. in the last 3 weeks while looking, I have seen people selling whole systems that are much better than yours for under $500. Old GPU's can be found in the 50-100 range.

You need to aim for the recommended requirements.

For BF4:

You need to over clock CPU. 

You could spend your money on ram but only if you can overclock CPU and get a better GPU.

Your GPU needs an upgrade to play this game at 1080p. I have a 9800GTX+ and it don't expect it to play BF4 at 1080p and that 9800 meets the minimum specs

ok then i think ill wait till i get my personal pc with an rx470 and an i5 6500
