Hey guys,

I've got a bit of a problem. So a few weeks ago the PC i built for my brother suddenly died.
I went to the pc repair shop and they said it probably was the mobo that died, but seeing it is an 1155 socket cpu, they don't sell those anymore.
So I went to Ebay, bought myself a new Asus P8Z68-V Pro as a replacement. (I already bought a cheap ass micro atx mobo, but that didn't work at all).
So I thought, new mobo, everything should work just fine now. Alas, I just don't get any image from the setup. I used the 1080p monitor that's hooked up to my personal rig to test, on HDMI and DVI, internal graphics and GPU seprate.
Nothing seems to give any image...

So I'm a bit out of my depth here. I think my next solution would be buy a new mobo+CPU all together, but I'd like to check here first.
Any suggestions?

I'll give you all the specs:
Mobo (dead): Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H
Mobo (new): Asus P8Z68-V Pro
CPU: Intel i5-3450
RAM: 2 x Kingston KVR1333D3N9/4G
GPU: Sapphire HD 7770
HDD: Western Digital Green 2TB

Any help is welcome!
Thx,

Have you tried different ram, or in different slots, using the igpu, or trying the graphics card  in another computer to make sure that it works, or try ut in another pcie slot.

You could also try a post code reader and see if it is stopping on a specific number which then can be looked up in the manual or google it.

The MoBo is a Z68 so it may need a BIOS update to get Ivy Bridge. Try finding an old Celeron on Ebay
