Different models in raid0

I'm an owner of a corsair force 3 120gb ssd, and was wondering if raid0 would work with other models of the same ssd, or even a sandisk one that is the same capacity.

You can raid it with any other drive.

To my knowledge this would not work as all drives in a raid config have to be the exact same storage device.

If I remember correctly, if let's say you have a 100GB SSD and a 200GB HDD, and you try to RAID them in RAID 0, the result would be a 200GB RAID volume, and the transfer speeds would only be exactly twice of the HDD. So RAID just uses the lowest common factor, which in this case is the 100GB capacity of the SSD and the slow transfer speeds of the HDD.
