I'm looking to start streaming in the next month or two and I'm afraid my pc won't be able to handle the tast at its current build. I want to stream games such as Rust, Minecraft, Overwatch, Rocket League, League of Legends, and others though I expect not to be able to play games like Witcher 3 or Battlefield 1 at high or ultra settings.

My current build is:

ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

G.SKILL F3-1866C9D-8GAB Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM

AMD FD8320FRHKBOX FX-8320 FX-Series 8-Core Black Edition

Seasonic M12II 620 BRONZE ; SS-620GM2 80Plus Power Supply

Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HDD SATA 6 Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch

Windows 8.1

I also plan on using a 1080p webcam to capture myself, if that makes any difference. My budget is at most 300$ not counting webcam. Are there any changes I should make or is this a solid build for general streaming?

Thank you in advance for your time.

What's your graphics card?

To be honest with you, it should be fine but I probably wouldn't expect to be streaming at 1080p even if you did have a good graphics card. Since you're only starting off, it's fine to not be streaming at 1080p so don't worry it's all groovy.

A GPU is going to be pretty important for gaming :P

Try just streaming basic desktop capture first and see how it runs. Your CPU isn't awful so as long as you get a GPU to take most of the gaming load I think it's manageable.

You'll be able to stream all those games fine with a new gpu except bf1, like at all. My system has an i7 5820k six core processor and without a big overclock, streaming bf1 is the worst. It makes my fps have sudden drops to 10 and the stream quality really goes down. It's way too cpu intensive and turning the settings down will not help. I recommend staying away from streaming that game and just getting a cheap 6gb 1060 during black friday sales.

Well you really want that dedicated GPU. The AMD APU is great for the price, but is not recommended for streaming. It will be possible for you to stream, that's not the problem, but the quality will have to be set accordingly. We're talking 720p30fps stream with game setting on medium, high if you're lucky.

These are my recommendations:

Dedicated GPU - For those games a RX 460 would be better than nothing, but if the budget is there, I would recommend something like the GTX 1060 or RX 480.

Optional: RAM - A bit more RAM would be a good consideration to, going from 8 gigs to 16 gigs.

Optional: SSD - This doesn't have an effect on streaming or game performance, but is great for quick startup of the system. I'd even go as far and say skip the HDD for now and go for a SSD and then toss a HDD in there, when the budget is for it. Basically any SSD is better than a HDD.

That would be CPU. Which GPU you have? From what I read, that CPU doesn't have integrated graphics. And even if it had, it's too weak for even 720p streaming.
