New AR/VR technology

Cast AR is essentially a set of AR glasses that allow you to interact with the world around you by projecting images specific to your glasses that can be manipulated with a "magic wand" made by both Jeri Ellsworth (a chip developer) and Rick Johnson (A veteran game programmer you may remember from valve) 

Their kick starter has recently blown up. 

 

They also have a VR attachment that unlike the oculus rift, is a clip on on the glasses making it much less bulky and thus more appealing to any user of a VR system. 

The price point for this being near over 100USD less than the rift makes it very appealing however only time will tell how each will sell.
