I'm about to upgrade from my current rig, which only has a i3 and a GT740. I need a build that can run most games over 60+ fps and that's fine. I already have a PSU, Monitor, Mouse, and Storage, so leave those out of the build. I have a 144hz monitor, and I've heard a 1060 wasn't sufficient enough. Also, I will use my rig mostly for gaming, listening to music, and some photoshop and rendering. I also need some high end headphones and a mic, because my current headphones are breaking apart and the sound is getting quieter. Thanks if you respond. EDIT: I forgot the price. It has to be under 1200

I have a lga 1155 sadly, and the older i7s are ridiculously overpriced on amazon and such. And it's a h61 mobo, so I can't do any overclocking.

Something like this. Put an ASUS card just for you. Do you have RAM? You can add more RAM if you want to

Why bother with the i7 when you could buy an i5 3570k? Anyways, at that price you might as well buy a newer CPU.

it fits his budget though. or maybe a new build for him since 1200 is not that small

At 1200 you can get a system that can run 1080p at ultra. I'd personally just go this route and reuse the case/HDDs that OP already has.
