After market ink? for printer

Guys i bought canon mg6820 to replace my old printer, but i didn't realize that the ink is more expensive than my current printer is aftermarket ink is bad can it damage the actual printer?

Yes it can. I never had any issue with any aftermarket ink, but I know people that had huge issues with it. If it is bad, it may damage your printer mechanism and shorten the life of it. God forbid it spills. If you decide to buy them, don't at least take the cheapest ones. I usually buy cartridges from Orink and never had any issues. The keyword key here is may. As everything, it may and may not cause problems.
