Razer DeathAdder or Diamondback?

aeroencychris

Hi all,

Just got back home from campus (yay) but forgot my mouse in my dorm (:(). My CM Storm Devastator hasn't been great anyways so I might as well pick up a new mouse while I'm home for break. Ordinarily I wouldn't go for Razer gear but both the DeathAdder and Diamondback (both chroma) are on sale for $50. The Naga is on sale too but I don't need that many buttons. I mainly play TF2 and Overwatch on a fairly high sensitivity. I'd like to spend no more than $50-60 on something. Are these good choices, or is there anything better? I was looking at the G502 but it looks a bit odd imo.

Thoughts?

Is this in USD?

I would say Logitech G502 > everything else.... just a personal preference really.

But between the two, I think that's really just up to your feels too. I don't really like bulky mice. I feel like it hinders my performance partially cause my hands are large with long fingers. Bulky mice just don't bode well. If bulky is your type then go for Deathadder... if not then Diamondback. Diamondback has more DPI i think.

I'm going for more of a minimal RGB theme so the G502 doesn't really match that. I've been leaning towards the Diamondback anyways so I'll probably get that :)

Razer G502. Just change the G502's RGB LED from whatever to green and, voila, you have a Razer G502.

It's not made up, that's why I'm asking. Just already have a slight opinion.

Just in general it feels like a very bulky mouse, even with the RGB lighting it feels... off visually. Not sure how else to describe it.

Again, not strictly a Razer fanboy by any means, but just not a fan of that mouse in particular.

Care to elaborate? I have medium sized hands and the shape for palm grip is very ergonomic and allows all buttons to be reached with ease.

This

is much bulkier/intricate/complex than this

Simply down to the amount of plastic pieces on it, the Razer one looks cleaner to me.

Not bad I guess not doesn't look like anything special. Is it that much better performance-wise over the Diamondback/DeathAdder?

Well, DB is using Twin Eye, which just sucks after its 5600cpi iteration due to the CPI damping, DA 2013/Chroma has also higher motion latency than the G303, and with the DA Elite you are stuck with Synapse as it doesnt save CPI steps.

I would say save up/spend 10$ more and get the G403, which has a similar 3.0 style shape to the Deathadder, and is also a lot lighter than the 502.

Bit out of my budget :/

Keep in mind I'm not competitive by any means, so a great sensor isn't crucial for me.

Well, then you can go for the DA, or for the Rival 300, which depending on the CPI used is actually the better performing one.

I'll probably get the DA after thinking about the grip, thanks :)
