Hello to anyone reading, I really, really.. need help with how my first new PC is performing. For the first couple of weeks the computer was operating like a dream, Ultra Graphics, 144hz, 200+ FPS and now it's dropping to around 50-100 FPS. I'm really confused as to what to do because I am almost confident everything in the tower itself is connected correctly and I am not sure about much else because I am very new to Windows and PCs in general.

Problems I have occurring:

  • Really low fps in games.
  • Some strange blurring on objects such as trees in games.
  • Seems to operate slower than usual.

If this is any help to what is going on these were taken in some hardware monitor:

Could someone please take a look at the screenshots and tell me if anything looks out of the ordinary because I am really desperate for some type of useful help.
*Tried to embed the images put they were huge and I am terrible with figuring this stuff out.

Is this a graphics driver issue? Is this a specific game you play or multiple games?

All games have performance issues and I've attempted to downgrade to older drivers and use hot fixes for newer drivers.

make sure you use DDU to remove the video drivers before you install new ones, installing multiple drivers on top of each other can cause issues

Everyone should own a vive.

That's actually kind of surprising. What graphics card are you using?

BF1 runs pretty good on my GTX660TI PE OC hahaha my card is so old but it ran perfectly fine!

Oh that could potentially be the problem as I'm extremely new to windows and wasn't aware thats how the drivers worked so I've probably got ten over the top of each other from going back and fourth. If I use DDU now could that fix the issues?

@OP yeah you might wanna try clean installing. I'm hoping your Windows wasn't exactly an "upgrade" but if it is and the problem persists, I would just say reinstall Windows. Ofc, move your games and files on a different drive before wiping off the primary drive.

with computers one issue can be caused by multiple things, so you just have to try it all till you fix it

Tried using DDU and completely reinstalling drivers. No success. I'm going to try clean windows and reinstall everything, can one of you please give me a brief guide on how to safely do it?

move all files to another HDD/SDD that you want to keep, or a cloud storage like google drive.

then just go through the windows install like normal and at the part where it asks to pick a partition to put it on, just delete all partitions so it wipes the drive then go on from there

Can I use my same windows product key as before?
