Windows Activation Question

Back when windows 10 was free as long as you have windows 7 i chose to upgrade to windows 10. Since then i have upgraded my CPU from AMD to INTEL and formatted my install. I had to call Microsoft to manually activate windows for me on the new hardware. They gave me a key on a notepad and i backed it up. The question i have now is that if i go and get my old setup working again and install windows 10 on it then deactivate or bind the windows copy on it. Will i have a second windows 10 key? Dose it work that way?

No, once one of them talks to the server the other will be deactivated, or at least that's how I've understood it to work.
