First budget build!

::Dan::

Hi LTT Forums! I'm planning to build my first PC myself and I'm on a budget right now (Preferably £600~800 or USD750~1000 but the lower the better cos I'm not earning my own money yet and yeah...). I've seen a lot of budget builds on YT but they're not all that well rounded at times. I live in the UK right now so the partpicker list would be in pounds (Sorry)

Uses: Gaming + Usual stuff + Engineering student CAD Modelling

PC Partpicker

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£218.28 @ Aria PC)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler  (£29.97 @ Eclipse Computers)
Motherboard: Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  (£127.14 @ Eclipse Computers)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory  (£47.99 @ Ebuyer)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  (£41.99 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Video Card  (£139.98 @ Ebuyer)
Power Supply: EVGA 430W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply  (£34.99 @ Novatech)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit
Total: £640.34

Questions:

1) I don't have a case. It's my first time building and I don't know what budget cases there are. (I was even thinking of an open air rack or something that might be cheaper than a case)

2) I feel like the CPU/Motherboard/RAM could be saved a bit

3) Power supply I chose EVGA from the list of certified ones that's nearest to my wattage cos it's more trusted. Not sure if it's good cos even good manufacturers might sell a bad product

4) A lot of recommendations for the 212 EVO so I picked that one. Might go for a stock cooler cos the CPU is pretty strong as it is now and I might not be going for OC.

5) Might think of going for Team Red on the Graphics card but I saw BitWit's latest budget build using the 1050Ti so I'm requesting for recommendations on that too.

For modeling, a 1050ti is ridiculously underpowered, expecially considering this:

Oh I'm still a student right now so I don't think it needs to be that powerful. And it's probably not the most intensive complex modelling.

I'm using a 840M right now on a laptop and they still work on it. I read that modelling takes a decent CPU that's why I listed it.

something like this would do pretty well. consider 16gb ram for modeling though.

Thanks all for the wonderful replies! This gives a lot of insight into different opinions. I'll look into the pros and cons of each one. And hopefully I'll be able to post my final build as thanks for all your efforts!

The stock cooler should be fine for an i5-6500, so that you can knock off £30
