It will affect RAM usage as well as take another CPU core and some GPU but not enough to make a difference, unless you open a ton of tabs in a browser (each tab uses RAM). Any video will take a certain amount away from the GPU so keep that in mind as well.

Incorrect, sort of. It doesn't directly affect performance, unless you're GPU is a potato that barely has enough RAM to run dual monitors.

Examples include USB video card adapters, and integrated graphics on older laptops.

This is more correct. It will use a bit more VRAM and/or system RAM, depending on your graphics and processor, but it's not noticeable...

Unless you're like me and always have a minimum of 30-40 Chrome tabs open. Or you simply open Skype - then shit can hit the fan using dual monitors.

Actually, opening Skype at all is just a bad idea in itself. But I digress.

Desktop: KiRaShi-Intel-2022 (i5-12600K, 5060 Ti) Mobile: Moto Razr 50 Ultra (Razr+ 2024) | 30GB CAN+US+MEX $30/month
Laptop: Lenovo Yoga 7i (16") 82UF0015US (i7-12700H, 16GB/2TB RAM/SSD, A370M GPU) Tablet: Lenovo Tab Plus (256GB)
Camera: Canon M6 Mark II | Canon Rebel T1i (500D) | Canon SX280 Music: Spotify Premium (CIRCA '08)

saw no differense with my 8800GT, thats 10 years old so any relevant GPU that can still play games will not have a problem
