I purchased a CPU Water block which has a small hole for you to put an led into it. I want to have a single LED breathe that would be connected to the molex 5v or 12v line but cannot find anything.

My soldering skills are non existent and i don't own a soldering iron so a pre-built board would be better.

If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Well my searches came up with either a kit you have to assemble yourself or a pre-assembled one that won't allow you to do what you want because the LEDs are soldered to the board.

So if you really want this, better start learning some electronics skills. :3

Thank you so much for the help. I guess I'll take the money I would have spent on a pre-built setup and put it into a soldering iron and learn how to solder.

I don't know much about electrical parts, just curious how you know it will work? Is there a LED standard? Do they all pull the same current?

Any led, or electronic part should have a data sheet which will list the capabilities and limits of the device, as well as pinouts, for leds they only work one direction.

Diodes don't have a set amount of current they need, they will have a set voltage drop across them like a diode under forward bias conditions though.

There is also no LED standard there are LEDs of every type that have a wife variety of characteristics.

There is more to electronics then just soldering stuff together, the second link you posted was for an LM358 op amp that is going to be used to make some sort of half way rectifier, i know this from taking a lot of electrical engineering classes, you might want to learn what the components are and how they work.
